Nude Lipstick And Natural Make Up Look

For the last few months I haven't been wearing make up because I went on holiday and then decided I wanted to make my skin better! but since I've started going back to uni I have started to wear a little! today I thought I would go with nude lips to match my nude nails!! to create them I used mac stone lip liner all over the lips and over the top used a nude lipstick from my Charles fox lipstick palette.

for the rest of my make up I used mac face and body shade C3 a cream cheek tint, mac eyeshadow on my eyebrows and a tiny bit of mascara on the top eyelashes.

Night time Skin Routine

something I'm awful at is sticking to a morning and evening skin routine! and my skin probably hates me for it! but sometimes when I do bother trying my skin feels lovely and I'm glad I made the effort! here's just some products and what order to do them!

firstly you want to get off any make up still left on your face, I recommend using make up remover rather than wipes! it's a lot more gentle plus I find it takes off more of your make up anyway..win win! I use either the mac make up remover (which is an oil based remover, so makes skin feel a little greasy but does the job well) or simple make up remover which feels more like a moisturiser so I use this more often! just apply to a big cotton pad and take everything off!

then you want to cleanse your face, using a big cotton pad again apply the cleaner all over the face, this gets rid of any bacteria left on the face and really makes sure it's completely clean! depending on the cleanser you either just leave it or wash it off. I use simple cleanser so I just leave it.

you should then tone but this is a step I often leave out haha (oops) just apply that like the same as a cleanser but always leave that on. I use the simple one too as it's cooling.

finally apply moisturiser and lip balm. I have just started using Nivea light moisturing day cream (should probably get the night cream) and I'm ALWAYS losing my lip balms so got a new one yesterday and it's Carmex. my favourite one it's simple lipbalm but you can't get that anywhere :(

How To Dye Your Hair Like Mine

If you follow me on anything you will know I dye my hair all the time! I get bored within a week and go another crazy colour!!

So i thought i would let you know how i did this hair colour, at the moment I have pink and purple split hair. I always use Directions hair dye! for my hair atm I mixed up two bowls with half a pot of carnation pink and half a pot of violet dye with a load of conditioner, once to the colour you desire wash and shampoo your hair then towel dry and comb through. apply the colours to where you want it to be and leave for at least an hour! wash off, condition treatment your hair for 5 mins at least then wash off and dry and style your hair like normal.. I love how it turned out this time and might even try and keep it for a while :)

it then faded loads which I really love and it looks like this now..

Acrylic Nude Nails

For a while now I've had acrylic nails! My nails just don't grow and I love nail art too much to not have long nails! I treated myself to infill's and polish today, I also had them shortened a lot as they were far too long to do people's make up.

For the first time I had a nude nail varnish and I absolutely love it! tell me what you think..

Body Painting

To be honest before this week I never really thought about body painting, I knew of it and have seen some beautiful pieces but never thought about me doing it. this week we had lessons on body painting by an incredible Body Painter, Julia Townend. After watching her demonstrate to us I realised how much I would love this! it's everything I loved about art,  vibrant colours, blending, building up, and texture texture TEXTURE!

I love painting so this was right up my street! after just the first lesson I know I wanna pursue this as well as make up!! in the first lesson I did an abstract space design with lots of build up of colour and textures and if I had more time I would of used glitter !! second lesson I did the front and did an elaborate tree scene with birds and autumn leaves and loads if texture and glitter to finish it off! once it lets me I will add the photos too so you can see them!

Starting a Make Up Blog..

So for a long time now and I mean a good eight years I have wanted to be a make up artist! I studied art and photography A level and am now in my second year on a Degree Course for Make Up and Hair for Theatre and Media. I have been inspired my first week back by Julia Towned, an amazing Make Up artist and Body Painter! I now want to really focus on my goals and start branching out by doing more jobs and starting my own beauty blog!! I will keep you up to date on my course and about new products and techniques I'm learning and anything I buy or am thinking about investing in! would love input for blog ideas to get me inspired me.
